Setting up the track.
Testing the start release.
Our track the night before the derby.
What a great bunch of cars!
Some fast rides here.
I see a couple potential winners here!
Noah wins best of Show!
Ryan D. takes Second Place!
And our big winner Ryan L. takes 1st Prize!
Congratulations to all the scouts who built cars and especially to our 3 Wolf Cubs who dominated the derby this year! Noah, Ryan D., and Ryan L.!

November Pack meeting: Wolves are leading with a flag ceremony
Just a reminder to those who weren't at our last den meeting (and those who were) that the wolf den will be leading the Pack meeting this Sunday 11/23 with the flag ceremony.
Alex, Cody, Ryan L. and Brendan have flag carrying/ or speaking positions because they were able to practice at the den meeting. All other wolves should be in uniform and try to get to the meeting a little early to go over our formation.
See you there.

RMU Sleepover!
We all had a great time at the sleepover!
First they told us all the rules.
Then we played outdoor mini-golf and had a campfire and smores until it started raining.
These guys were leftover from Halloween maybe.
Then we hit the ice!
Then we came in under the dome and watched Bee Movie and then went to sleep.
Morning already? 7am time to go home!

Flag Ceremony at the 911th
(click on pictures to view larger)
Thanks to Mr. Shaw for arranging our recent Go See It trip on Saturday, November 1st, to the 911th air Force Base in Moon Township, PA to view their flag ceremony. We all had a great time and it was very exciting to see the Air Force men and women in uniform and in formation, and watch them fold the flag just like we did at our last den meeting.
The Wolves (and one Bear along to keep the peace) arrive at the base and line up in formation before the flag ceremony begins.
The base's flags.
One more salute for the camera before assembling on the steps.
The cubs gather on the steps to watch the flag detail.
Out come the reservists.
Standing at attention to await the bugle call.
After the formation and the bugle, the detail prepares to take in the flag.
The commander in charge signals the Cub Scouts to join the ceremony.
After lowering, the detail folds the flag.
The scouts salute as the flag is taken inside.
Brendan gets to hold the folded flag (just for a little while)
